Spain Man Crushed To Death By 5 Tons Of Grapes

MADRID (AP) — Emergency services say a man has died after being crushed by grapes during the annual harvest in the central Spanish wine producing region of Castilla-La Mancha.

A local rescue service center said Friday the man was pulled out of a winery grape reception bay that he fell into the day before, just as a truck unloaded 5.5 tons (5 metric tons) of grapes ready for crushing into juice for winemaking.

Ambulance operators and firefighters tried to resuscitate the man — identified only by his initials, A.O. — but he was declared dead just before midnight Thursday.

With around 465,350 hectares (1,790 square miles) of vineyards, Castilla-La Mancha is considered to have more land dedicated to grape cultivation than any other region in the world. - Huffington Post

It turns out there is such a thing as double bananas – and this man has proof. Richard Preece, 33, found the extremely rare fruit in a bunch of bananas he had bought in his weekly shop in Asda. The father-of-three – who has completed charity fun runs dressed as Bananaman – was a little shocked at the bizarre discovery. Brown University To Host 'Nudity In The Upspace' Week

Brown University is about to play host to a week-long celebration of nudity. The "Nudity in the Upspace" week goes from Sept. 30 to Oct. 5 on the Ivy league campus in Providence, R.I. The organizers write on the Facebook page the week intends to confront stigmas about the naked body and open a space space for discussions on it, with "All bodies welcome!" So what will go on at nudity week? On Tuesday, Oct. 1, there will be a nude yoga class that promises to "stretch your body perhaps in ways that it hasn’t been stretched before." Organizers will provide mats, but ask attendees to bring a towel. There will be nude cabaret, nude open mic night, nude body painting, personal testimonies about nudity and a panel on how issues like race and class intersect with nudity and body image.
