It is by a bus turnaround point and next to the bottom of Hampstead Heath. The facility is being promoted with a sign on the wall offering a "toilet space", hoping to catch the attention of bus drivers who need stop to relieve themselves at Parliament Hill Fields. Mr Atherton also predicted a surge in interest if Camden Council follows through with its controversial plans to close the public toilets in Pond Square in Highgate village and the Victorian toilets at the entrance to Hampstead Heath were demolished in the 1990s. Mr Atherton's toilet has been left unused for...

The new tampon-sized pill is part of a bizarre modern trend of women placing items such as herb balls and Japanese vagina sticks into their private parts. Made from a mixture of cannabidiol and cocoa butter infused with THC (the hallucinogenic chemical found in the class B drug), the 'Foria Relief' pill has been created to "maximise muscle relaxing and pain relieving." But its creators Foria say it will not get you high. Giant ‘alien’ egg at school terrifies pupils

Image
A headteacher had to apologise after a giant ‘alien’ egg terrified primary school pupils. The 1m (3ft) white egg scared some of the 250 children at Holy Trinity as rumours spread that a teacher received burns after handling it and of scratch marks on a wall. Headteacher Jon Smith told parents of an ‘amazing discovery’ but insisted it was safe. But as panic mounted, he was forced to issue an apology and explain it was a project to promote investigation. A ‘scientist’ was called to the school in Halstead, Essex, on Monday to prove the egg was safe. Source: Metro

Woman files for divorce over the way her husband eats peas

Image
A woman has filed for divorce just a week into her marriage after discovering her husband doesn’t eat peas with a fork. The woman in Kuwait is said to have been disgusted at the ‘shocking sight’ of her new husband using bread rather than cutlery. The incident was apparently so traumatising the unnamed newlywed decided to try and end her marriage just days after their wedding, Gulf News quotes Kuwait newspaper Al-Qabas as reporting. In another case highlighted by the paper, a woman attempted to divorce her husband after he insisted on squeezing toothpaste tubes in the middle and not at the end. ‘We are always arguing. I keep telling him that he should squeeze in the end of the tube, but he stubbornly refuses and keeps squeezing it in the middle. He is so obstinate,’ the woman is quoted as saying. ( Metro UK )

(PICS) American man crosses tightrope with safety harness tied to his GENITALS

Image
Brave adventurers at the highline festival walk across ropes up to 61m long NAKED - but the Andy Lewis took it a step further. Balancing 30 metres above ground, these slackliners take the expression of living dangerously one step further - by tightrope walking NAKED. The brave adventurers leave their clothes behind and wear only a single safety rope secured tightly around their waists, ankles, and - in the case of American Andy Lewis - even their private parts. The pics of Lewis and Austrian Mich Kemeter crossing the 61-metre stretch of rope were taken by Philadelphia photographer Jared Alden, 31, after his love of travelling and adventure merged into his passion for photography. They were taking part in the GGBY highline festival at an unknown location in the remote Utah dessert.-  Mirror UK

Please don't be sad. I just miss daddy so much, I want to see him again." The youngster's body was retrieved by brother Michal, 13, but she was already dead. Heartbroken Monika said: "Five years ago I lost my husband Arek, this year my daughter. I don’t know if I can go on, and I wouldn't if it was not for my son. "She didn't seem unhappy. She didn't have problems at school and s...

Clone your dog: Scientists offer Britons chance to create £63,000 pet replica

Image
Are you a dog lover who couldn’t live without your favourite pet? Does the idea of having your canine by your side for the rest of your life sound like a dream come true? Scientists from South Korea are giving one ‘lucky’ Briton the chance to create a clone of ‘man’s best friend’ for free. Insung Hwang, director of the UK Dog Cloning Competition, said: ‘We can clone any breed, size or shape of canine and are coming to the UK to offer this process to the owner of one very special dog. ‘We welcome entries from any UK-based dog owner who wants to benefit from this exciting new advance in biotechnology.’ Experts will take one microscopic skin cell to recreate an exact replica of your canine in just two months using cutting edge technology. A biopsy is taken from a living dog which is then replicated to create a man-made embryo. The cells can also be banked at a facility to be activated at a later date. The team from Sooam Biotech claim to have successfully clone...

Eight-year-old girl writes moving letter to Labour MP Stephen Timms about family’s poverty

Image
An eight-year-old girl has written a heartfelt letter to a Labour MP about her family’s poverty, raising new concerns about the cost of living in the process. The hand-written letter was given to Stephen Timms by the girl’s parents when they attended his constituency surgery in East Ham, and he later posted it on Twitter. ‘Things are becoming more and more difficult,’ she writes in the letter, explaining that her family have found it difficult to feed themselves and have been forced to take on a lodger in their two-bedroom flat they rent. ‘I am a hard working girl that wants to keep learning more and more, but due to the financial situation of my parents, I am unable to attend teaching and swimming lessons,’ she wrote. Mr Timms said he was reluctant to draw wider conclusions from the ‘extraordinary’ letter, but warned of a growing number of people ‘on the verge of destitution’ owing to the government’s bedroom tax, welfare reforms and immigration changes. ‘This ...

23 Things You Should Never Say To A Curvy Woman

Image
Despite the fact that we should all know better, a shocking number of people think that it's acceptable to comment on women's bodies -- curvy, skinny, short and tall alike. However, women who fall outside of the thin "ideal" face a specific type of weight discrimination. The comments often directed at these women make it glaringly clear that fat stigma is (sadly) still alive and well. The term "plus-size" itself is a point of contention for many women. Obviously no one should be singled out for their body size, or treated differently because of their weight. But the fact remains that strangers, friends, family members and colleagues often feel empowered to comment on a woman's size -- especially when that size is not petite. In a January 2012 piece for xoJane, Lesley Kinzel wrote about being criticized for her weight in public places such as the grocery store, the gym and a parking lot: The frequency with which fat-shaming happens means many fat ...

Man gets hand stuck in loo trying to retrieve wedding ring

Image
A man’s desperate attempt to retrieve his wedding ring that had fallen down a squat toilet ended in more pain after he got his hand stuck down it. Zhang was unable to free himself from the loo in Quanzhou, in China’s Fujian province, after getting it caught. He had to suffer further embarrassment when firefighters were called in to help him, but this probably paled in comparison to what he would have endured if his wife had found out he’d lost the ring. Zhang, who had taken off his ring to have a shower, was discovered stuck in the lavatory by his colleagues at work after they heard his screams. They tried to free their fellow worker with some soapy water but failed and had to call in reinforcements. Fire crews disassembled sections of the floor in order to free Zhang. And although he was able to escape it isn’t clear whether he managed to retrieve his wedding ring. - Metro UK LIKE us on Facebook too:-

Sudoku puzzle on husband's gravestone must be removed, grieving widow told

Image
She was left stunned when she was told the numbers teaser and a separate maths equation must be erased from the headstone Jobsworth council bosses have ordered a grieving widow to remove personal inscriptions on her late husband's gravestone - as it includes a Sudoku puzzle. Angela Robinson was left stunned when she was told the numbers teaser and a separate maths equation must be erased from the headstone. The messages were a tribute to her late husband Allan, who died in May last year aged 66, and who worked as a mathematician. But council chiefs have bizarrely ruled the inscriptions lower the standards of the churchyard. Ms Robinson, from Chester, Cheshire, said: "It’s completely unnecessary. "We are talking about a two inch square Sudoku puzzle and a one line mathematical equation because my husband was a mathematician and did a lot of Sudoku puzzles. "He was a bit of a fanatic but this is personal to him. How can they possibly say what we have put o...

Missing US kids found in Calgary

Image
CALGARY -- City cops are co-ordinating the safe return of three American kids, reported missing by their father and found in downtown Calgary on Wednesday. At 1:15 p.m., a beat patrol officer located the white motorhome carrying Jordan Davis, 15, Jasper Davis, 14 and Tabitha Davis, 11, and their biological mother and non-custodial parent, Sherri Lynn Davis, a.k.a. Sherry Lynn O'Neal. Police say the children are in good condition and co-operating with investigators. The kids were reported missing last Friday to Cass County sheriffs in Missouri. On Tuesday, Calgary police got information about the missing kids and their mother being spotted in the area. Maj. Jeff Weber of the Cass County Sheriff's Department, told reporters in a press conference that they were contacted by Calgary police that same night, saying that the mother and an older son had visited a shelter for financial assistance. "The story that they gave to the social worker seemed a little suspic...

Do I know you? Half of us don't know our neighbours' first names

Image
Worryingly, a third of adults admitted they could pass their neighbour in the street without realising they shared a garden fence Everybody might need good neighbours - but we are clueless over who they are, a study has revealed. Half of us don’t know next door’s first name and seven out of 10 have no idea of their surname either. According to research, our busy lifestyles are turning us into an isolated nation - living just yards away from other families but never finding out any details about them. Worryingly, a third of adults admitted they could pass their neighbour in the street without realising they shared a garden fence and almost two thirds could not recall how long they had lived next door. The survey by Churchill Home Insurance found more than four out of 10 were stumped over whether their neighbours had children and almost half did not know if they had a pet. Hardly surprising then that almost three-quarters of us don’t know what our neighbours do for a living and ...

Marriage breakdown: Groom forgets his bride at motorway petrol station

Image
A newlywed couple’s honeymoon period didn’t last very long after the groom forgot his bride at a petrol station. The German couple were on their way home from their post-marriage holiday in France when they stopped near the town of Bad Hersfeld. After filling up their tank on the journey home to Berlin, the hapless groom then drove off, only noticing his wife was missing hours later. His new bride had been sleeping in the back but got up to use the toilets and he drove off before she returned. He finally noticed she was missing after two and a half hours on the road and called police who said she was patiently waiting back at the petrol station. ‘My first reaction was: is he stupid?’ the 33-year-old told radio station FFH. ‘I had no money and no telephone with me.’ She added: ‘I’m not angry with my husband. He didn’t mean it.’ -  Metro UK LIKE us on Facebook too:-

Father Tragically Killed While Walking Cross Country For Tribute To His Dead Gay Son

Image
The father who set out on an inspiring cross-country journey following his gay son's suicide was reportedly killed last night by a truck in Colorado, midway through his walk across America. According to KTVB, Joe Bell died late last night after being struck and killed by a semi-truck. Officials said that the driver was charged with reckless driving and may have fallen asleep at the wheel. After his 15-year-old son Jadin Bell killed himself after allegedly being bullied by classmates, Bell vowed he would walk cross-county, stopping to speak and raise awareness about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth along the way. Beginning in Oregon, he planned to walk 15 to 25 miles a day and speak on behalf of Faces For Change, an anti-bullying foundation established in his son's memory. "We need to stop this bullying -- it starts in our households, how we raise our children," Bell said at the time. "We need to educate our school systems on how...

Woman who didn't know she was pregnant gives birth at home as boyfriend sleeps through it

Image
A WOMAN who did not know she was pregnant woke up in the middle of the night to give birth but her oblivious boyfriend slept through the entire delivery. Nadia Watson woke up with what she thought were period pains but then collapsed on the bathroom floor of her Weston-super-mare home and went into labour. The confused 22-year-old screamed as she delivered 7lbs 11oz baby Poppy all by herself but partner Lewis McSweeney dozed throughout the one hour ordeal in the next room.  Concerned neighbours alarmed by Ms Watson's screams of pain dialled 999 while police cars ambulances arrived minutes after the birth. Man Gets Penis Stuck In Toaster, Firefighters Carry Out Hard Rescue

Image
In his defense, that toaster gives good bread. An unidentified London man is nursing his knob after firefighters had to extract his penis from a toaster. It's unclear how the gentleman got it in there, but London's bravest were there to butter his bread, The Mirror reports. Jokes aside, London appears to have a penis problem. MSN reports that firefighters in the area have dealt with too many lodged members over the past three years. "I don't know whether it's the 'Fifty Shades' effect, but the number of incidents involving items like handcuffs seems to have gone up," London firefighter Dave Brown said. Firefighters didn't say when the incident occurred, but they released the story in an attempt to stop people from having sex with their appliances -- or getting into other kinds of embarrassing trouble that diverts resources from emergency services.  Read more at Huffington Post
